A professional footballer may never be a victim of the bankruptcy of a club. FIFPro is of the opinion that players should not lose their eligibility when their club is taken out of competition.

FIFPro is concerned about the situation in Serbia now it appears that FC Zemun is still playing official matches despite a suspension imposed by the national DRC. The worldwide players' union supports the Serbian union.
The case of Igor Strelkov is an example of a Dispute Resolution Chamber involving only club representatives and no player representatives. Recently the Russian DRC created a very bad precedent.
The Dutch FA arbitration committee made a fundamental statement which will protect players from the creative manipulation of transfer fees by clubs with so called package deals. This will have an effect internationally.
