EU Athletes and FIFPro reject the basis for the decision taken today by CAS in the Alberto Contador-case. Earlier on Monday the CAS found the Spanish cyclist guilty of a doping offence.

A year ago Mario Cizmek confessed that he had participated in match fixing. Now, the former Croatian youth international has been sentenced to 10 months in prison. He was one of 24 players sanctioned for manipulating games.

Spillerforeningen, the Danish PFA, has won an important victory for its members. Two-thirds of Danish clubs now have to take out new insurance policies for players and the League has been fined for breaching the CBA.

The Norwegian Players Union secured a historic victory in the Norwegian Supreme Court. The Supreme Court now ruled that fixed term contracts cannot be breached due to alleged bad financial circumstances.
