Video: FIFPro and the players of the World XI
Friday 13 January
FIFPro celebrated the presentation of the 2011 FIFA FIFPro World XI with a special meet and greet with players from this year’s elite team.
FIFPro board members and representatives, as well as the winner of the FIFPro Facebook competition Sebastián Yalle Vázques, welcomed the following players from the FIFPro World XI: Daniel Alves, Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and Xavi.
Unfortunately, four players from Real Madrid had to cancel their attendance, due to a match in the Spanish cup tournament. However, there were some other guests as well, amongst them Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United, and Neymar, the Brazilian international from Santos FC.
Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Andrés Iniesta and Daniel Alves took some time to thank their fellow professional footballers all over the world.
