Press conference FIFPro Black Book Eastern Europe
Monday 30 January

On Tuesday 7 February 2012 FIFPro will present the FIFPro Black Book Eastern Europe. The worldwide players’ union for professional footballers will organise a press conference in Brussels, Belgium, where it will officially present the first copy of the book.
FIFPro Task Force Eastern Europe has worked hard during recent months to compile the Black Book. Thousands of footballers in Eastern Europe cooperated in the study undertaken by the Task Force. The results of the study are given in the Black Book: a bulky report with a long list of abuses in Eastern Europe.
The reason for holding the study was the many complaints and statements that were received in recent years by FIFPro and its Eastern European players’ unions. Many professional footballers appeared to be so badly treated by their clubs, football associations and ‘supporters’, that FIFPro considered it high time to instigate a study into the seriousness of these abuses, thus hoping to put an end to these serious wrongs.
FIFPro is pleased to invite all journalists and media representatives interested in this topic to the press conference and the presentation of the Black Book, and to receive a copy of the book. Those attending the meeting will include the FIFPro Task Force members, members from the Eastern European unions and others.
We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you to our press conference.
