Costa Rica asks for recognition, minimum wage

Asojupro, the players’ Union of Costa Rica, has requested the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to recognize the country's professional footballers as labourers and has asked for the introduction of a minimum wage.

Derlis Florentín Noguera died Sunday morning in a traffic accident. The 26-year former Paraguayan youth international played professionally for numerous teams in South America and Japan.

FIFPro took part in the Biomechanics and Physiology Research meeting at the FIFA headquarters. The research programmes are focused on improving the quality of artificial pitches and meeting the objections of players.
