Players of Argentine team Sportivo Italiano were threatened and robbed by their own supporters. These so-called fans were angry because the club recently relegated from the country’s second division.

Spanish union warns over possible strike action

The Spanish footballers’ association has offered all the sporting bodies involved a Great Pact to solve the current problems. If agreement is not reached, the AFE will call a strike by football players in all divisions.

‘Badly treated’ Austrian players require sports law

The Austrian players’ union, VdF, demands a sports law. The VdF called upon the country’s sports minister to come into action, after a book brought to light grave injustices in the way sportspersons are being treated in Austria.
