Ten footballers made their debut on the shortlist for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2010, many of whom are young talents who appear to have a bright future.

The reality is harsh for Salvador Cabañas. He received a special award from CONMEBOL for his footballing performances. However, according to his wife, Cabañas has no money left to pay for his rehabilitation.

The executives of the Bolivian footballers’ association FABOL visited president Evo Morales of Bolivia at his invitation, to discuss the situation that Bolivian football is currently experiencing.

Steven Bryce and Reynaldo Parks received this years’ FIFPro Merit Award. The world-wide players’ union for professional footballers paid tribute to both board members of the Costa Rican union for the voluntary work they developed.
