Ajax striker Arek Milik has no time for defenders. Just look at his picks for his World XI.

In midfield, the 21-year-old Polish international selected Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Arjen Robben –- who were the forwards in last year’s team.
In attack, he went for Neymar, Robert Lewandowski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“This team probably will have a few problems in defense,” Milik said after voting at the Ajax training ground.

Earlier, after complaining about that it was "impossible to select only three strikers" for the World XI, Milik filled his midfield with forwards. Just as he was about to hand in his ballot paper to Dutch players' union representative Danny Hesp he remembered that he had forgotten someone: Messi. That meant he had to scratch Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic to accommodate his Argentine teammate.

“When we have the ball, watch out!” Milik said of his World XI.

Milik has eight goals in 20 games for Ajax this season.

Also pictured below are his teammates Jasper Cillessen, Davy Klaassen, Johnny Heitinga, Riechedly Bazoer and Kenny Tete.

FIFPro’s 58 member unions have spent the last few weeks collecting thousands of votes from professional players. The 55 most-voted players in their position will be announced on November 26, with the World XI unveiled on January 11 at the same time as the Ballon d’Or winner.
