New Zealand is probably not the country people immediately link to football. New Zealand is a rugby nation, and it only has one professional football team, Wellington Phoenix.

The New Zealand Professional Footballers’ Association NZPFA recently visited the current number 6 of the Australian (!) A-League to collect the votes for the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Some of the more experienced Wellington Phoenix players and national team players posed while dropping their voting ballots in the box, among others goalkeeper Glen Moss, defenders Ben Sigmund and Andrew Durante and midfielder Michael McGlinchey. The last player is still a member of the All Whites, the nickname for the New Zealand national team.
