George Owino: "Players need to be educated about match-fixing"
Kenyan international George Owino signed his first professional contract as a teenager and played in Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania. In 2019 the then 37-year-old received a ten-year ban from FIFA for colluding with convicted match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal. The defender believes that not enough is being done to educate players about match-fixing.

Representatives from FIFPRO and the Association of Bulgarian Footballers (ABF) were present at the latest IntegriSport 3.0 workshop in Bulgaria, Sofia, where participants benefited from practical sessions on combatting match-fixing and safeguarding sporting integrity.

Norbert Rubicsek is the director of the CSCF Foundation for Sport Integrity. He leads the Erasmus IntergriSport Next project, which aims to fight against sport manipulation and criminal activities impacting sport. FIFPRO is part of this project and will host the IntegriSport closing conference on 4 November.

Festo Omukoto: "We made a plan to get three match-fixers arrested"
Festo Omukoto is one of three Kenyan players who received a four-year ban from footballing activities in 2020 over match-fixing allegations. The midfielder currently serves as the ambassador against match-fixing for the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA). He recently played an important role in the arrest of three people attempting to fix matches in Kenya.
