FIFPRO supports the players of Slovenia’s women’s national team, who this week requested the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS) create a more professional environment for them.
In a letter to the NZS, 31 players addressed their concerns about unprofessional behaviour from the coaching staff which has put their mental and physical health at an unnecessary risk.
Across the globe, women’s players are speaking up about their working conditions; Slovenia’s players are doing the same. The players want to represent their national team to the best of their abilities, and they expect the same from their coaching staff.
We urge the Football Association of Slovenia to take the players’ request seriously.
