Barcelona Femeni's remarkable 2024/25 campaign was duly reflected on Monday 3 November when three of its key players were among the winners of the 2025 FIFPRO Women's World 11.
Aitana Bonmati, Alexia Putellas and Ona Batlle, who were instrumental in the Spanish team's domestic treble, lifting the Liga F, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup, were selected by their fellow professionals to join the players’ team of the year.
This is the third consecutive time Bonmati has been voted into the Women's World 11, while Putellas also has three appearances since she was first selected in 2022 (she was only absent from the 2023 edition). Batlle, meanwhile, makes her debut among the winners at the age of 26.

For Bonmati, the honour is even more special as she was the most voted player of all women’s footballers in the 2025 edition of the award.
This latest recognition further cements Barcelona’s reputation as a powerhouse in women’s football. Since the award’s inception in 2015, the club has now contributed 15 total selections across seven players, making it the second most represented team in World 11 history.
FIFPRO gathered the players’ reactions as they received their trophies in Barcelona, reflecting on what it means to be recognised by their fellow professionals.
Aitana Bonmati
"Being part of the FIFPRO World 11 is a source of personal pride, but I would say that it is a consequence, a result of good teamwork both with Barça and with the national team. At the end of the day, we have our own style, which is recognised all over the world, and thanks to the team, we are here receiving these individual awards.
"One of the nicest things in football is being recognised by your rivals. Being recognised by your team-mates is something unique, but being recognised by your rivals is even more so, I think, because they value what you bring to the game."

Alexia Putellas
"Being part of the FIFPRO World 11 is an honour; it’s a privilege to be in this 11 with so many great team-mates. I am very grateful to be recognised by all my team-mates, who value you in this way. Thank you very much to everyone who thought I deserved this award."

Ona Batlle
"Being chosen among the 11 best of the year is a privilege. I truly believe it is the result of teamwork, but it is also a privilege to be nominated and to be alongside all these players who are also very good. For me, it is quite significant and an honour that the players can vote and that they have voted for me. I am very happy."
