• After the most successful season in its history, Paris Saint-Germain capped off a remarkable year with a historic showing in the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11
  • For the first time ever, five PSG players were named to the Men’s World 11 – a milestone achievement for the French club
  • FIFPRO presents the winners

The 2024/2025 campaign will forever be etched in the memories of PSG fans: the team finally captured the long-awaited UEFA Champions League title, completing an unprecedented quadruple that included three domestic trophies. It was, without doubt, the most glorious year in the club’s 55-year history.

With their performances at an all-time high, PSG’s stars dominated world football – and their efforts have now been recognised by their peers. The FIFPRO World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by the players themselves, making the honour even more meaningful.

The 2025 edition marks the first time PSG have had five players in the World 11, surpassing its previous record of three (Messi, Mbappé, and Hakimi) from the 2022 edition.

Joining Achraf Hakimi this year are:

  • Gianluigi Donnarumma (now with Manchester City)
  • Ousmane Dembele
  • Vitinha
  • Nuno Mendes

For Dembele, Vitinha, and Mendes, it’s their first-ever inclusion in the prestigious lineup. Under Luis Enrique’s guidance, these five players have helped define a golden era for PSG – one that has now been immortalised in the FIFPRO Men’s World 11.

Gianluigi Donnarumma

Position: Goalkeeper
Age: 26
Country: Italy

The 2024/25 season proved that no setback is permanent when matched with resilience and talent. Donnarumma, now at Manchester City, endured a shaky start to that final campaign with PSG, drawing criticism for early errors – but his response was magnificent.

From the turn of the year, he became PSG’s immovable last line of defence. His heroics in the Champions League penalty shoot-out against Liverpool were only the beginning; he produced match-winning performances against Aston Villa and Arsenal in later rounds.

Domestically, Donnarumma led Ligue 1 with a 66.22 percent save rate, helping PSG record the fewest goals conceded in the competition. His transformation into a commanding, composed leader in goal made him indispensable to the club’s historic season.

Nuno Mendes

Position: Defender
Age: 23
Country: Portugal

It’s impossible to look back on Paris Saint-Germain’s remarkable season without highlighting the influence of Nuno Mendes at left-back. The Portuguese defender was not only a constant attacking threat – with his explosive pace, penetrating runs, and precise deliveries – but also a formidable presence defensively, showcasing impressive balance between flair and solidity. In the Champions League, he ranked second overall for interceptions (30) and was the highest-scoring pure defender (4 goals), tied with team-mate Achraf Hakimi.

His outstanding performances were recognised with several individual honours: Best Player of the UEFA Nations League Finals (as Portugal lifted the trophy), and inclusion in the Team of the Season for the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and Ligue 1 (as awarded by French player union UNFP).

Achraf Hakimi

Position: Defender
Age: 26
Country: Morocco

Few defenders impact the game at both ends of the pitch quite like Achraf Hakimi. His attacking flair was vital to PSG’s continental triumph: he was the only defender in the top 20 of the Champions League’s goals + assists chart, ranking ninth with 9 (4 goals, 5 assists). He also delivered in the biggest moments: scoring the decisive goal in the semi-final against Arsenal, and opening the scoring in the final versus Inter.

Hakimi also starred in the French Cup final against Reims and shone at the Club World Cup, where he was among the top 10 for combined goals and assists (4). Named in both the Champions League Team of the Season and Ligue 1-UNFP Team of the Season, he also received the Best African Player in Ligue 1 award.

Vitinha

Position: Midfielder
Age: 25
Country: Portugal

“He has every quality you could ask for in a midfielder,” said coach Luis Enrique about Vitinha. Enrique’s tactical reshaping of the team placed the Portuguese playmaker deeper, giving him full command of the rhythm and tempo. From that position, Vitinha dictated games with poise and precision, knowing when to accelerate, pause, or strike decisively.

He finished as the player with the most completed passes in the Champions League (1,308), boasting an outstanding 93.5 percent accuracy rate – the best among midfielders who played more than 10 matches. Internationally, he won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal and was named in the Team of the Tournament for the Champions League, Ligue 1-UNFP, and Club World Cup. To cap it off, he finished third in the 2025 Ballon d’Or voting, cementing his rise among Europe’s finest midfielders.

Ousmane Dembele

Position: Forward
Age: 28
Country: France

At long last, Ousmane Dembele delivered the season his immense talent had always promised. The French winger became the talisman of PSG’s treble-winning campaign, combining breathtaking pace and technical flair with newfound maturity and consistency.

Dembele finished as Ligue 1’s top scorer (21 goals) and PSG’s leading marksman in the Champions League (8 goals). He also netted the only goal in the 2024 Trophée des Champions against Monaco. Crowned Ballon d’Or winner, Champions League Player of the Season, and Ligue 1 Player of the Year, Dembele finally fulfilled his potential – and in doing so, became the face of PSG’s golden era.
