Voted for by over 26,000 professional footballers, the FIFPRO Men’s World 11 and FIFPRO Women’s World 11 have been revealed – celebrating the most outstanding players in the current game.
FIFPRO rounds up stats, figures, and records on the World 11, a milestone for Africa, ten debutants and a strong Paris Saint-Germain showing.

For the first time, the Women’s World 11 features two African players. Zambia’s Barbra Banda, who made history last year as the first, is joined in the 2025 edition by Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak.

5
Paris Saint-Germain boast five players in the Men’s World 11: Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma (now at Manchester City). It’s the club’s largest-ever representation in a single edition, and the most since 2022 when PSG had three players: Hakimi, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi.
8
Lucy Bronze has etched her name in history, claiming the record for the most Women’s World 11 appearances. Her 2025 selection moves her ahead of France defender Wendie Renard, who has seven.

9
Since the award’s debut in 2005, just nine goalkeepers have featured in the Men’s World 11. Gianluigi Donnarumma’s 2025 selection marks his second appearance, placing him alongside legends such as Iker Casillas (5), Manuel Neuer (4), Gianluigi Buffon (3), Alisson Becker (2), Thibaut Courtois (2), Dida (1), David de Gea (1), and Ederson (1).
10
The 2025 edition of the World 11 features 10 debutants across the men’s and women’s teams: Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Pedri, Cole Palmer, Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembele, Hannah Hampton, Ona Batlle, Ghizlane Chebbak, and Chloe Kelly.
18
Lamine Yamal, 18, is the youngest player ever selected for the Men’s World 11 in the award’s 20-year history. He breaks Kylian Mbappe’s record from 2018, when the French star made the team at 19.

28
With 28 appearances since 2015, England stands as the most represented nation in Women’s World 11 history – led by Lucy Bronze (8), Keira Walsh (3) and Millie Bright (3).
49
No country has more Men’s World 11 appearances than Spain, who currently hold the record of 49 appearances from 15 players. Lamine Yamal and Pedri have added to that list in 2025 by making their respective debuts, following in the footsteps of compatriots Sergio Ramos (11), Andres Iniesta (9), Xavi Hernandez (6), Iker Casillas (5), Gerard Pique (4), Carles Puyol (3), Xabi Alonso (2), Fernando Torres (2), David Villa (1), David de Gea (1), Thiago Alcantara (1), Dani Carvajal (1) and Rodri (1).
62
No club has shaped the Men’s World 11 quite like Real Madrid. The record holders add to their legacy this year with Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham earning spots in the 2025 team.

68
26,753 professional footballers from 68 countries voted for this year’s FIFPRO World 11, the only global football award decided exclusively by the players.
152
The total number of players that have featured in the Men’s and Women’s World 11 is 152. Since 2005, 93 players have appeared in the Men’s World 11; since 2015, 59 players have featured in the Women’s World 11.
13,609
No player had more selections from their peers than goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who amassed 13,609 votes. Next was Spain’s Lamine Yamal with 10,167. The Women’s World 11 player with the most votes was Aitana Bonmati (2,953).
