• Over 20,000 professional men’s footballers from 68 countries voted for their team of the year
  • Paris Saint-Germain’s treble-winning stars headline the 2025 team
  • Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest player ever named in the Men’s World 11

The 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 has been revealed after over 20,000 professional men's footballers from 68 countries voted for their team of the year.

Five Paris Saint-Germain players – including former goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City – feature in this year’s lineup, reflecting the club’s dominant treble-winning season.

At just 18 years old, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal makes history as the youngest-ever player selected for the FIFPRO Men’s World 11. The teenage sensation breaks Kylian Mbappe’s previous record from 2018, when the French forward made the team aged 19.

The 2025 team blends established icons with exciting newcomers. Mbappe and Virgil van Dijk continue to underline their consistency, earning their sixth and fifth World 11 selections respectively. Meanwhile, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Pedri, Cole Palmer, Ousmane Dembele, and Yamal all make their debut appearances, marking the arrival of a new generation of elite football talent.

Since its inception in 2005, FIFPRO’s World 11 has been the only global football award decided entirely by professional players – those who compete at the highest level and know best who truly excelled.

How did the voting work?

The FIFPRO Men’s World 11 is determined by votes from professional footballers across the globe, using a secure digital platform distributed by FIFPRO and its affiliated player unions.

Voting covered performances between 15 July 2024 and 3 August 2025, with players required to have made at least 30 official appearances during that period.

Each participant selected three standout players in each of four positional categories: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward.

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards with the most votes earned selection, while the 11th spot was awarded to the next highest-ranked outfield player overall.
