Alex Phillips departs as FIFPRO Secretary General

After serving as FIFPRO Secretary General, Alex Phillips has announced his departure from the organisation.
Since his appointment in November 2024, Alex has played an important role in implementing the reforms approved by FIFPRO's member unions following the organisation's governance review.
Working closely with the Board, member unions and staff, he helped strengthen FIFPRO's structures, executive management and operational framework during an important period of organisational development.
Alex Phillips said: "Serving as FIFPRO Secretary General has been a privilege, and I am very proud of what we have achieved together. I would like to thank the Board, our member unions, the staff and colleagues across the organisation for their trust, support and collaboration. I wish FIFPRO every success as it continues to strengthen the voice of professional football players around the world."
FIFPRO President Sergio Marchi said: "Alex has made a valuable contribution to FIFPRO during an important period in our organisation's development. His work in driving the implementation of the reforms approved by our member unions has strengthened the organisation and positioned FIFPRO well for the future.
