The build-up to the 2026 FIFPRO World 11 has taken a significant step with the reveal of the men’s and women’s finalists.

Over 26,000 professional footballers from 75 countries have voted for their men’s and women’s team of the year. The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers.

The FIFPRO Men’s World 11 finalists are the 26 men’s football players who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 4 August 2025 to 19 July 2026 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 30 official matches during that period.

The FIFPRO Women’s World 11 finalists are the 26 women’s football players who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 4 August 2025 to 16 August 2026 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 20 official matches during that period.

Who will make the World 11?

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who have received the most votes will be selected for the World 11. The final World 11 spot will be assigned to the remaining outfield player with the next highest number of votes.

FIFPRO will announce the World 11 on Monday 9 November from 14:00 CET on its digital platforms.
