World 11: Coming 9 December 2024
What you should know
Who decides the World 11?
Players can vote for any of their peers. Although the voting tool contains a guidance list with approximately 250 names, players are able to add other names if not already mentioned on the list.
How do the players vote?
FIFPRO and player unions distribute unique links that give players from professional football clubs access to a digital voting platform.
How is the formation decided?
The goalkeeper, along with three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who receive the most votes, are named in the World 11. The remaining spot is assigned to the outfield player with the next highest number of votes who is not selected already.

New Era, New Trophy
What makes the World 11 trophy unique?
Each individual trophy is an elegant representation of the number ‘1’, symbolising that each player is, in the eyes of their peers, the best in their position on the field.
Celebrating the collective
When all 11 trophies come together, they form a larger prize representing the entire World 11—celebrating the power of the team.
Abrazo de Gol
Designed by the award-winning studio xCruza at their Argentinian base, the trophies when gathered form an Abrazo de Gol (Goal Hug) embodying the essence of football: a single gesture where the team's spirit merges
“The World 11 is almost better than being the best player. That might sound controversial, but the World 11 is solely voted for by the players and, to me, that’s the opinion that doesn’t necessarily matter the most, but it means the most.”
