Mary Earps Trophy 2024 1
  • PSG and England goalkeeper Mary Earps was last month voted into the FIFPRO Women’s World 11 for a second successive year

  • A record-breaking 7,000 women’s football players voted for their world team of the year

  • The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by the players

Paris Saint-Germain and England goalkeeper Mary Earps was presented with her 2024 FIFPRO Women’s World 11 trophy on Thursday.

A record-breaking 7,000 women’s players voted for their World 11. It is the only global player award decided exclusively by footballers.

Earps received the newly redesigned World 11 trophy and a framed shirt from FIFPRO's Dr Alex Culvin (Director of Global Policy & Strategic Relations, Women's Football), Alejandro Varsky (Director of Communications), and French player union UNFP delegates Laurent Pionnier and Elise Legrount.

Making her second appearance in the Women’s World 11, Mary Earps said last month she was “grateful” that her peers selected her as the goalkeeper in the team of the year.

"It’s lovely to be voted into the FIFPRO World 11. I'm pretty shocked, to be honest; I know that the players could have voted for a few goalkeepers who had a really good season,” she said.

"I didn't expect it but, of course, it's very nice. I'm very grateful that my peers – the people I play with and against – voted me into this position."

A trophy that truly celebrates the collective

Earps was presented with the new-look World 11 trophy that truly captures the collective spirit of the World 11.

Each individual trophy is an elegant representation of the number ‘1’, symbolising that each player is, in the eyes of their peers, the best in their position on the pitch. When all 11 trophies come together, they form a larger prize representing the entire World 11—celebrating the power of the team.

Designed by the award-winning studio xCruza at their Argentinian base, the trophies when gathered form an Abrazo de Gol (Goal Hug) embodying the essence of football: a single gesture where the team's spirit merges.
