Ready to make a difference in the women’s game?

This Player Self-Assessment will help identify what is working well and where improvements are needed to create better conditions for women's players.

By completing this assessment, you are contributing to a detailed report about the current state of women’s football. Based on the results, a Toolkit full of practical tips and best practices will be shared with unions and stakeholders to help raise standards and protect your rights and wellbeing.

Your input is essential to improve player conditions and help set fair and safe standards for everyone in the women’s game. The assessment includes over 103 yes/no questions and will take around 15–20 minutes. Your responses will remain confidential and will be used to push for positive change in your league.

If you have any questions or need support, please reach out to your union.

Raising Our Game Europe 2025 | Project to benchmark professionalism in women’s football

About Raising Our Game

This assessment is part of the Raising Our Game project, a collaborative research initiative by FIFPRO Europe, the University of Bordeaux, and 12 national player unions. It is designed to better understand the everyday reality of players in women’s domestic leagues.

After a successful first phase, we’re expanding the project. Why? Because you can’t improve what you don’t measure. By collecting your input, we can shine a light on what is working and what urgently needs to change.

The ultimate goal isn't just data – it’s action: better contracts, safer environments, fairer conditions, and stronger support for all players.

What happens with your data?

Once both the Union Self-Assessment and the Player Self-Assessment are completed, you will receive a detailed report with the current status of women's football in your country. This report serves as a foundation for using the Toolkit, packed with practical tools and best practices designed to help you raise the women's game in your country.

The Toolkit has been developed to support the professionalisation of women’s football by promoting player-centric environments that are decent, safe, and fair. As the women’s game continues to grow, it is essential the professionalisation process sustainably protects and advances the rights and wellbeing of players.

Your responses will strengthen player conditions, support collective representation, and establish basic international standards in your country and across the women’s game.
